And is says I have it on two out of five computers but I only have it on ONE and after updates it forgets where I left off. This year is a buggiest program ever

Happens to me too. Not quite as often, but it should never happen at all even after an update. No sense of the pattern for me.
Found this old post regarding this problem:
In my case, I uninstalled Bitdefender Internet Security and no longer had this problem. Alternatively it might be possible to uninstall Turbo Tax and reinstall. This may cause the latest version to be installed without using up another one of your 5 instance limit. I haven't tried this so I'm hypothesizing here.
