What the heck. I didn’t know about the requirements to file for free. I meet 2 of those requirements which I did not know initially until I already selected to pay for it. I’m the same one u commented on earlier. I changed the costs and deleted extras after I realized I had to file thru the mail. And when finalized it charged me $140 or whatever. They didn’t even tell me I qualified.
The IRS FREE FILE option has partners with all the major tax programs and has been around for years ... it would be nice if the IRS advertised it more ... https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-do-your-federal-taxes-for-free
I had no idea the irs offered that and had no idea how to get the free version of turbo tax. and now my bank account is negative on top of it. If they woulda at least just charged me the 40 I changed it to then I’d be ok. I’m so upset rn
there’s a $130 charge in my bank pending and my order details show the same.
Just looked at ur link. I did remove everything after my efile was denied. That exact way. But I didn’t clear all. Just hit remove. Then when I finalized it and “printed” I got a notification from my bank about a charge and I look and it changed nothing
