Why am i charged for state taxes? Can you please help me remove this charge?

State is a separate charge in all Online versions. You can try to delete the state, https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900608-how-do-i-delete-my-state-return-in-turbotax-online

But state should also be free in the Free Edition.  Did you upgrade to a higher version?
