Why am I being charged to do my state income tax returns. I believe they were done for free last year(2017). I am using the self employed return as an Uber driver.

I found this TurboTax FAQ relating to your Uber discount. Though it doesn't specifically mention state returns, it does point out that you'll need to access TurboTax via your Uber dashboard.

If you find that your state return(s) aren't discounted as you believe they should be, I'd suggest contacting Uber directly. It may be that the company has changed their offer for 2018.
