Why am I being charged an extra $40 for using my refund money?

Because that is the "Fee" the third party bank charges to process the software payment to TTX, and the Federal refund in...and back out to you with whatever is left...

Always a bad choice...change it to pay it with your credit card instead.

I got charge three times. I have one charge that is valid because it is listed irs in my bank. But they are two other with turbo tax and Intuit that still took my money.
