Why 2016 tax return did not transfer the data and information to 2017 1120s. I use turbo tax every year, this is first time I could not transfer any of the data...why?

had the same problem - begin by starting a new return and it should be okay and then you need to delete the prior one -  it worked for me so it should work for you.
