Which TT to use for filing home but husband has partnership and already filed with a CPA

I bought the same software from last year, TT Home and Business. My husband already did his partnership return elsewhere, just like last year. I feel like the software for 2019 looks different this year because it's not asking me if he has a K-1 and instead it wants me to input all these other categories which is only appropriate for a sole-proprietor. Am I missing something or not proceeding through the prompts correctly? We don't need to file for him but I do want to report some of his info like I did last year.

Thanks!

Kim

You are in the wrong tab (i.e., the Business tab). To enter your K-1, click the PERSONAL tab and then click Personal Income. Scroll down to Schedule K-1 and click the Start button.

Thank you! I wish the program gave you a warning, I filled out a bunch but I realized it was stupid to continue and hopefully I've deleted it all.

To enter a K-1 in TurboTax Home and Business:

  • Select Personal, then I'll choose what I work on.
  • Under Business Investment and Estate/Trust Income, select Schedule K-1.

To delete the Schedule C

  • Select Business, then I'll choose what I work on.
  • Under Business Income and Expenses, select Update.
  • Delete the business
