Where is the rest of my return? IRS is blaming TurboTax and TurboTax is blaming IRS. If only one of them could be an adult and fix this.

Did you request to have your TurboTax account fees paid from your federal tax refund?  If so, what is the amount of the federal tax refund you received from TPG?

Turbo tax said I was supposed to receive $2999 and this morning $1599 was deposited in my account. I didn't have any turbo tax fees. I did the free service. IRS pointed fingers and hung up on me.

That is a recovery rebate.  You said you did not receive it and IRS is saying that it was sent to you.

If your refund is short $1,400 then the IRS has records that show you were sent the 3rd stimulus payment so they removed the $1,400 Recovery Rebate Credit from the federal tax return Form 1040 Line 30.

If you checked your bank account in the March - May 2021 timeframe and there is not a $1,400 EIP3 payment from the IRS then go to this IRS website for how to start a trace on the payment - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/questions-and-answers-about-the-third-economic-impact-payment-topic-j-p...

Thank you! I had no idea there was a 3rd stimulus payment. I never got one.

some people actually got EIP3 at the beginning of this year.

If your check was stolen, destroyed or misplaced you can ask IRS for a replacement.

BUT

If your AGI is too large, no EIP3 for you.

I made less than 10k last year. I'm sure I qualify.

Besides $1400 is alot of money to misplace or forget about when it's more than I make in a month. I never got it.

That does not mean that one was not sent to you.  You need to find out if one was and why you did not receive it.  That IRS can tell you that.  Some people got them on debit cards, thought they were junk mail and threw them away.  Some had checks that were stolen.  Some had deposits to their checking account and just never noticed.  You need to find out what happened and get a trace put out if it was mailed to you.
