Without seeing your return, it sounds like it could be a typo, or you have additional non-salary income that increased your total income (unrelated to your W-2). Revisit the W-2 entry to double check your input. The amount from Box 1 of your W-2 will be entered on your 1040, line 1a.
If you also had "Other Income," that amount comes from Schedule 1 and shows income like business income, farming, gambling income etc.
You can preview your 1040 by navigating to Tax Tools on the left of your screen, choose Tools, then View Tax Summary. On the left of the screen, select Preview my 1040.
There is another possibility if there's an amount in box 10 of your W-2 for dependent care. Untill you fill out additional forms in TurboTax to account for it, it's included as wages
