You put it in box 8 on the software 10909-INT form

EDIT your form again, and when you see box 1, look for a checkbox just below it...that checkbox expands the page.

(i.e.  Ignore the ridiculous "uncommon" statement)

To enter your 1099-INT with tax-exempt interest, please follow the instructions below:

1. Sign into your TurboTax account.
2. Open or continue to your return if it's not already open.
3. Inside TurboTax, search for 1099-INT and select the Jump to link in the search results.
4. Answer Yes to Did you receive any interest income. If you see Here's the interest we have so far, select Add interest income.
5. On the following screen, select how you want to enter your 1099-INT (import or type it in yourself) and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Under Box 1, check off the box that states My form has info in other boxes (this is uncommon).
7. Box 8 will populate on the screen.
