Where do they ask if the tax payer dies this year

my son passed away and im doing his taxes and i want to know if it will ask me that question?

I'm sorry for your loss.  TurboTax will ask this question when entering the personal information on your son.

You can also go to the Personal Info Summary to add this information:

1. Click on the Personal Info tab.
2. In the Personal Info section, click Edit next to your son's name.  [See Screenshot #1, below.]
3. On the screen, Your Personal Info, go to 3.A few other things we need to know.  [Screenshot #2]
4. Mark the Yes button next to I'm preparing this return for [name], who has passed away.  Enter the Date passed away and click Continue.
