Where do I record the Advisor Fees Transaction Costs?

Please follow the steps below to enter advisory fees:

  1. Deductions & Credits
  2. Scroll down to Retirement and Investments
  3. Select Other Investment Expenses

Notes: 

  • The fees are part of your itemized deductions and they must be over 2% your Adjusted Gross Income for you to benefit. 
  • Broker commissions, when you buy/sell stock are added to the purchase price of the stock
  • Broker's fees based on performance or other advisory fees are entered as investment expenses:
