to enter your 2015 state income taxes paid in 2016 follow these instructions:

• Open up your tax return in Turbotax

• Click pick up where I left off

• Select Federal Taxes at the top of your screen

• Select Deductions and Credits

• Scroll down the page to the section titled Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

• Select Start/Revisit to the right of the line Other Income Taxes

• Select the appropriate type of state tax that you pain and click Start to the right of the line

• Enter your 2015 state tax amount.
