Where do i deduct 1099-misc paid to independent contractor on premier CD for 2015? Do not see other common expenses on cd

by the way, if you end up with a refund for 2015, forget it.  the statute of limitations has passed for claiming refund unless 2015 was extended.   however, if you owe the iRS  can still go after you.

I am not trying to get a refund that they do owe, BUT I cant fix so that what they claim I owe is corrected

Go to Federal
Income & Expenses
Then scroll way down to Business Items
Business Income and Expenses - Click the Start or Update

If you haven't added a business yet you have to go though a lot of screens describing your business.  Or if you already added your business, you should see the Business Summary page that lists your businesses, (right below the list you can Add Another Business)

Then click EDIT by the business name and the next screen should be a list of  topics,
Business Profile, Income, Inventory/Cost of Goods Sold, Expenses, Assets, and Final Details last.

Under Business Expenses, Click Start or Update by Other common business expenses
Contract Labor is the 5th item in list.
