Currently, TurboTax supports the manual entry of IRS Form 1099-DA. We are in the process of enhancing our CSV import and upload features to make this process more seamless.
If you are ready to file now, you can still enter your information manually. Otherwise, thank you for your patience while we get these automated tools ready for you!

Does the same hold true for the TurboTax Desktop Edition for Mac? I finally decided to use Koinly so I can upload their file but, if I wanted to upload my data from webot.com (formerly Pionex.US) I'd rather do that and let turbotax handle the calculations. It's just going to take some work on my part to get the data into the correct format. They send out a zip file of 4 files. All containing different types of data sets. And the one where the trading bots have placed orders have dates but time are all 00:00:00 so it messes things up for Koinly trying to calculate.
Thanks for the reply. Greatly appreciated.
Yes, it holds true for all the TurboTax editions.
It is NOW Feb 18 2026 Is there a Better Timeline when this feature will be available to update my Desktop Premier version? will it be available before end of FEB
Any updates on this? I'm in the same boat as the original poster. Need to import crypto sales from Koinly.io into TurboTax desktop for Mac. There seems to be no way to do this.
This is getting a little ridiculous. TurboTax had a full year to prepare for this. It's now coming up on late February.
I'll second that!!! When I started looking at this the option WAS there and I used the link to download the CSV Template. Now it's all gone. I'm wondering if it has something to do with some IRS changes this year. But you would think they could at least communicate with their paying customers. I've used turbotax for over 10 years.

Timeline: We expect the new CSV import functionality to be available soon. Please note that this is an estimated target as we finalize the experience.

Is there a template for the CSV so that we can be working on getting the file ready while the team works on the rest of the system?
Manual entry is not feasible and not a reasonable response or alternative. I have over 500 lots I have to identify. The entire purpose of this software is to not have to do things like this.
I understand TurboTax is "working on it", but I am expressing that for something I pay for $100+ every tax season, this is unacceptable.
The TurboTax universal template may be found here.
How in the world is this of any use when TurboTax has completely disabled any form of CSV uploads this year?
There is zero point to having a universal CSV template when TurboTax has completely removed the CSV upload ability entirely.
Or are you saying it’s coming back without saying it? If it is, can you please actually let us know and confirm that the feature is coming back this tax season??
What good is it. You can't use it. I am attaching a screenshot straight from the help file. My question and others is this, why is it disabled? This is one of the reasons I've been using TurboTax for years. Is it time to move on? Anyway, please read the "NOTE" in the screenshot.

I just found this in the help file. If it actually functions in the desktop software I would buy it, but not without knowing if it currently works
.
Any update on this? I have been doing this for years without issue using the universal csv import template, and it is still not working.
