If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2021 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2021 AGI might not be in the IRS system. Try using zero instead.
If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year. The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
To find the AGI calculated on the current year return, click on the "forms" icon on upper right of the screen and select the Form 1040 or whatever form version you are using. AGI is line 11 on Form 1040. Might be a different line for other forms but it will be on the 1st page.
To find your previous year's AGI, entered for identification purposes, go the the step by step and click on the "File" tab. Continue a few screens in to find where it asks for your AGI. If you already entered AGI, you will see what you entered there.
If you get an EFile rejection due to an AGI error in the entry of last year's AGI , it may be because of an amended return. You need to use the AGI of last year's return prior to the amendment.
I want to file email and this is the first year they are requesting an AGI Where do I go to find information on how to do this?

The IRS has required the prior tax year AGI to e-file the current year tax return for many years.
The 2021 AGI is on your Form 1040 Line 11 that you filed in 2022.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for finding last year's AGI - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/find-last-year-...
Where do I find my AGI?

Your 2021 tax return shows your 2021 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) If you filed a joint return then the AGI is the same for each of you.
Form 1040 line 11
If you are using the same TT account that you used last year, you should also be able to find this number in your Tax Home for 2021
If entering the amount from your 2021tax return does not work, then try entering “0” instead. If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
You can get a free transcript of your past return from the IRS:
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
Note: If you filed late or amended your return, your correct 2021 AGI may not be in the system.

Note: If you mail your federal return, you will also need to mail your state return. You will not be able to e-file your state return.

it is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it like UPS or certified mail. Then you will know the IRS received it.
If you used the wrong AGI, your e-file be rejected. When you get the rejection notice, correct it and re-file.
