You need to use the separate interview for Section 1256 securities, not the "Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other" interview.  The interview you need to use is "Contracts and Straddles."

Where can I enter the total for my 1256 options rather than putting each one in individually?

section 1256 activity gets reported on form 6781. generally, no detail is entered. just a summary total of the net gain or loss for each brokerage you used. form 6781 is for contracts and straddles.    automatically 60% will be long-term and 40% will be short-term regardless of the actual holding period.
