We have always gotten the CD version and put it on each of our computers, but being in different states we are looking at using the software download. If we use the software download can we each login to our own account for filings?

When you use the downloaded version it is no different then using the CD ... the only difference is the delivery method of the program to your computer. Each party will need to log into your download account to get the installation file. They will both work exactly the same way once they are installed & updated. The TT program that you buy is only supposed to be installed on computers you personally own but if the others you are talking about are your immediate family members then you are OK. But if you let other non family members use the program you bought OR anyone charges a fee to prepare returns then you are in violation of the TT user agreement.
