I have already entered qualified dividends and it tells me to enter again

When you entered the 1099-div info on the screen did you enter both boxes 1a & 1b ?  

Or do you have dividend forms listed that are unused in the summary list that need to be deleted?

yes, entered in both boxes.  I would like to add that the smart check comes up with 12 errors which is not so.  I have used Turbo Tax 10 yrs or more and have never had any problems like this.

Ok ... easiest way to see & fix the errors (you must have some blank forms hanging about) is to switch to the FORMS mode and look down the left side for the red "!" marks ... those are the pages that need attention ... click on one and look at the form in the window ... find the red boxes ... those are the places that need fixing.  If you don't need that form at all then simply delete it on the bottom of the screen. 

When you think you have them all fixed click on the red stop sign with the red "!" in it to run an error check.  When you are done then switch back to the step by step mode to finish the FILE tab.
