I had a baby in December of 2017 but i did not get a deduction, it says i am not eligible. What do i need to do to get the $4500 child deduction?

When you enter your infant into Turbo Tax, you must indicate that he or she lived in your home for the whole year. This will allow you to claim every child deduction possible. The IRS allows a new born to be claimed for the entire year. Please view the Turbo Tax FAQ below for more information about this rule.
