What new Ga. tax law is keeping me from filing my state tax?

You cannot e-file a state return until the federal has been filed and accepted. The IRS will not begin to accept federal e-files until January 29. So.....even if you e-file early, your return is going nowhere until at least the end of the month.

Georgia has not announced when they will begin processing state tax returns yet.

The IRS recently announced that the formal start date for the 2024 tax filing season will be Jan. 29.
