When mailing in my returns do I need to sign the extra copy of the other returns I have to send

If 2 copies of your federal printed, you will need to send one along with your state return. Most, if not all, states require a copy of your federal to be included with that return. So yes, sign both before mailing. If you don't they will send back to you for your signature.
