When is the first day I can file my taxes for this year?

TurboTax is currently accepting e-filed returns. Not all customers can file at this time, because some IRS and many state forms are not finalized yet. If you try to file, and can’t, there will be updates as to when the program is expected to be ready for your situation.

The IRS does not open e-filing until January 28, if you file early, TurboTax will hold your return until then.
