When I'm filing for State it doesn't let me finish, it gets passed the part where it shows what I'm getting but then goes blank

Lots of state forms are not yet ready.

You have to e-file your federal return first, and then your state. The state will not accept a return until the IRS has accepted your federal return. If you are waiting for federal forms you will also have to wait to file your state.
