When I go to file it states that the IRS hasn't finalized one or more forms. Once the forms are finalized then they can complete my e-file. When will this be finalized?

You cannot file 2015 until you receive all of your W-2, 1099, 1095, etc forms in January.

Note that Turbotax will NOT automatically file your state return.  You must log back in to check that the forms are available, then verify that your return is finished, and transmit it.  Turbotax will not automatically transmit your return because of the potential that one of the forms might change your tax result.

You cannot e-file a 2015 tax return until January 4 when the e-file servers accept returns.  The IRS will not be accepting any type of tax return until January 19.  If a return is e-filed prior to the date accepted by the IRS it will sit on the e-file servers until the IRS is ready to accept the return.  An e-filed return Cannot be retrieved to make changes.

You can click on the Review tab at the top of the TurboTax program and see a list of your tax forms that are not yet finalized and the dates they should ready to be filed.

Also note that W-2's, Form 1099's, Form 1098 and Form 1095's will not be made available until January to early February.
