I’m having the same problem I have been using turbo tax for years never got this message before

Yes...later than usual.   The NC DOR has delayed their issuance of final forms, to include some late-enacted tax changes by the NC legislature.

 

Thus, they have to finalize their own computer calculations for those changes, THEN let the software companies know how they are to do those specific calculations in the software.

 

As such, the final NC forms needed for ANY NC resident to submit thru the software, has been delayed until on or after 17 February (so far).

One could just e-file the Federal forms now, but NOT the NC forms.  BUT I do not recommend it.

Many people rushing to file, end up finding something the missed, and then an amendment mess ensues.  Several brokerages haven't issued their 1099-DIV and 1099-INT forms yet, and some W-2 forms haven't arrived yet either (they have to be put in the mail by the 31st of Jan, but then the mail takes a week more) 

 

Better to wait until after the 17th of Feb to file both together.
