Form 6252 is for an installment sale of an asset.
This form is used if you sell an asset, but receive principal and interest payments over time.
All interest is taxable and the principal payments are generally partially taxable, as received each year, based on the Gross Profit Percentage of the original sale, up until the entire amount of gross profit on the sale has been recognized
If you have recognized all of the gross profit from your 2001 or any other sales, you can delete that form from TurboTax:
I have the same issue but am using a Turbo Tax Deluxe downloaded to my Mac and it does not have a Tools section to use to delete. it. What now?
In upper left corner of TT, click Forms.
Scroll down the list and click the form you want to delete.
Click Forms menu at top and Remove xxxxx (name of form)
