As TurboTaxCapB said, the way the monitor reacts as w2s are added is deceptive or misleading. The real question is why you owe so much. If you and your wife filed a joint return last year and if your numbers are similar you need to track down what changed. On the other hand, if there are substantial changes in your circumstances then that might be the culprit.
