When I try to e-file 2021 S-corp returns, federal and VA state, Turbox Tax Business keeps me in a loop, keep asking me "we need to make one more check". It seems to stuck in VA return. Please help.

Have you checked to ensure all of your Virginia forms are supported for e-file?
I do not have any special forms for VA, I did the same last year and no issue.
I found a link last year someone has similar issue and had to download some kind of statecleanup software. Should I follow the same for this year?

Thanks for the info. I did do the check update when I encountered the issue. There was no luck before I posted my question.
Today, 2/5/2022, I checked updates and there was an update posted on 2/3/2022. However, after the update, I got prompts on Federal return to enter shareholder EIN in QBI Statement A which I never had to do before. I am stuck again but on a new issue. I will check community to see if other has run into same issue as me on this QBI Statement A.

Another user reported the same issue. I tried to reproduce it on an S corporation test return (1120-S) and was unable to do so.
Check your Shareholder Information (under the Business Info tab) to ensure you are listed there as an individual and not as an entity (such as an estate or trust).
Otherwise, you may have to contact Support (link below).
I double checked shareholder tab and they are individuals. I think the new version has a bug? I actually can enter SSN into 199A form, but it said I need to enter shareholder name, but the box is not editable. I am stuck.

If it were an actual bug, I should be able to reproduce it in my copy of TurboTax Business. I cannot do so.

Enter Forms Mode and enter (or re-enter) the social security number on the K-1 Worksheet. See if it propagates to Statement A.
One other thing you might try would be to start an entirely new return (1120-S) and input just the basic information (e.g., name, address, EIN of the S corporation and also your information as the shareholder).
If you do not get the same result (i.e., it passes the final review), then you can be fairly certain the result you are seeing is some type of input error.
I tried what you suggested to start a new return and same issue. I am prompted with shareholder EIN when ready to e-file. I am stuck. Please advise.
Just to add to my last reply comments, the odd thing is that this time it passed Federal Review and State Review when I start a new return, but stuck when at the last step to do e-file.
Thank you, will do.
