When completing taxes using Turbotax online, how do I enter dividends in setting of divorce?

Do I simply divide the numbers when entering them by half?

You will enter you dividends as they appear on your statement.  After the dividend is enter you will select you need to adjust the dividend.  You will then enter the amount of his/her portion on the dividend and hit continue.  This will take you to the summary screen which will show the full portion of the dividend.  However, on your portion will show on the 1040.  You can view the 1040 form to confirm.  

To view the 1040 form, follow these steps in TurboTax Online:

1. Select Tax Tools from the left side panel
2. Select Tools
3. Select Preview tax summary
4. Select preview my 1040
