What will happen to the savings and brokerage accounts I have in the US? Should I rather move all my investments and savings to Europe?
I am a US resident (green card holder, acquired thru marriage) and an EU citizen currently living in Austria. I have applied for a re-entry permit but it has been more than one year and I have no news from IRS (which is normal, I understand). Since I will be staying in Europe for at least two years, most probably I will lose my green card (or the ability to re-enter the US even though the green card will be valid) Any ideas of what will happen to the savings and brokerage accounts I have in the US? Should I rather move all my investments and savings to Europe?
TIA.

This TurboTax support community is for helping people use TurboTax to file their U.S. income tax returns. Your question is a legal question, not an income tax question (even though the IRS is involved). We cannot help you here. You will have to look elsewhere for advice about your U.S. investment accounts.
