What to do about Rover earnings from last year that were withdrawn this year

Hi, I worked through Rover for part of last year, but did not withdraw any money until after 12/31/2016. Do I need to report any income from Rover this year, or is that reported on next years tax returns?

It is taxable income to you when it is available to be withdrawn.  So if you could have withdrawn the money on 12/31/2016 or earlier its income to you then.

Similar to working for an employer, if they issued you a check for you to pick up and you did not go in until Jan 3rd, when the check was there on December 31st, it is income when you can actually get the money.
