2017 can not be efiled it must be mailed.
for 2018 try using AGI for 2017 of zero (since you haven't timely filed it) if that doesn't work what is the reject code for 2018. if it's for incorrect 2017 AGI then if zero doesn't work all you can do is mail it in. DO NOT mail in same envelope with 2017 and use a method where you can track delivery.
It is not clear what you have done--or tried to do. When did you try to e-file your 2017 return? Did you prepare it using the 2017 software? If you just recently prepared it using the current online software that was a big mistake, since the current online program can only be used for a 2018 return.
If you prepared your 2017 return using the 2017 software last year and did not realize it had been rejected, then the only way for you to submit it now is to print, sign and mail it in. It cannot be e-filed.
Since your 2017 return was not filed, your 2017 AGI is not in the IRS system. Entering your 2017 AGI will not allow you to e-file 2018. As Hackitoff said, try using zero. If zero does not work then you have to print, sign and mail 2018 to file it.
Before you proceed, it would be a good idea for you to post here again to tell us what happened with those returns and what software you used so we can be more helpful.
