What should I do? my return was rejected and I believe it was because one of my dependents is in the process of changing names through her adoption.

I put her new name, and I think because we haven't completed switching over all of her document the social security number doesn't match the new name.  when i click to fix it will only let me change the ssn not the name. what should i do?

we can't see exactly where you are right now

BUT.....

Navigate all the way back to the My Info page, and change her name there....don't try to fix it on the fix-it page.

You are most likely correct.  The new information probably has not updated in the system.  Once you are in the return go to the "My Info" section and "Edit" the dependent information there.
