Contact your employer. You can also register for ID.me, which will allow you to view your transcripts to see what was reported, if there was anything filed. You can even get them by mail, but by that time your return will be late and any balance due had to be paid by 4/15 to avoid penalties
Even if there's nothing on file, you are not relieved of filing an income tax return and properly reporting your income and deductions

Technically, you should have contacted the iRS months ago when you did not receive the 1099

You have number of options if you still haven't received your W-2.
1. Call the IRS at 800-829-1040. They will contact the employer for you. You'll need: Your employer’s name, address, and phone number and your employer’s EIN (Employer Identification Number if you have it from a previous year’s W-2.
2. Use Form 4852 (The W-2 Substitute) and your final paystub for last year (this should show your "Year-to-Date" (YTD) totals for gross pay and federal/state/Social Security withholdings).
In the program, Search for "Form 4852" or go to the W-2 entry section and check a box that says "I did not receive a W-2."
Filing this way usually means you have to mail in your return rather than e-filing, as the IRS needs to manually verify the numbers.
3. You can try obtaining a Wage and Income Transcript from the IRS website: Get Your Tax Record. This is often the most accurate way to get the numbers if you’ve lost your final pay stub.
4. If you are worried about the April 15 deadline, file Form 4868 (Application for Automatic Extension of Time
To File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return) for an automatic 6-month extension.
Note: This gives you more time to file, but not more time to pay. If you think you’ll owe money, you should still estimate the payment and send it in by April 15 to avoid interest and late-payment penalties.

5. And finally... have you checked your employer's online payroll portal (e.g., ADP, Workday, or the company's employee portal website)? Many companies have stopped mailing paper W-2s entirely, and only post them digitally online.
