What happens when the IRS rejected the AGI from the 2018 return? I checked it and it is correct.

Did you file a Married Filing Jointly return and switch the order of the names from last year? If so, the AGI won't match IRS records. 

If the correct number won't work, you can request a 2018 tax transcript from the IRS to see what they have on file, or print and mail your return.

If your spouse died during 2019 there is a problem efiling and you will have to mail your return

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
