What happens if my marketplace insurance covers the majority of the year but I switched/ canceled that and my employer picked up where the canceled coverage left off?
Marketplace covered 9 months and then my employer covered 6 months, so there was an overlap. Do I claim that I was covered for the entire year and how would I do that with a 1095-B and 1099-HC

Indicate that you were covered all year in the Health Insurance section.
When you indicate that you had Marketplace insurance and enter your 1095-A, you might have to pay back part of the subsidy you received.
On the left-side menu, go to Tax Tools, then Tools. On the Tools Center pop-up menu, choose View Tax Summary.
Back at the left-side menu, choose Preview My 1040. Scroll down to Line 46 to see if there is an amount for Excess Premium Tax Credit.
Once you pay for your return, you can see the calculations on Form 8962.
Click the link for more info about the Premium Tax Credit.
