Did you receive a W-2? If so, check your paychecks to verify that this is true. If they did not withhold anything, you will probably owe the IRS.
If you are an independent contractor, you will enter your income on Schedule C. You will have to pay federal tax in addition to social security and medicare.
Were you self-employed? Did you get a W-2 or a 1099NEC? If you received a W-2 with no federal tax withheld shown in box 2 there may be several reasons. You may have made too little and the employer did not withhold federal tax......or.....what did you put on your W-4 that was given to the employer?
If you think federal tax was withheld and the W-2 is wrong you have to talk to the employer.
If the W-2 is correct, and you just did not have tax withheld, then it is what it is, and must be entered on your tax return exactly as it appears.
