Florida

What do I do for box 15 Employer's State ID number if it says N/A?

Since Florida does not have a personal income tax, leave boxes 15, 16 and 17 blank (empty)

Thank you. Do I have to file a w2 if box 2 is blank? I got one form late in the mail and am wondering if I need to amend my tax return if that box is blank.

Yes, you do have to report all W-2's received even if box 2 is blank.

 

An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 16 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.


Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
