This may have to do with something on your tax return that is not yet ready for e-file or the IRS is not yet ready to accept a particular item on your return. Continue to check back by logging out and back in to select e-file.

Thanks for your mail to me on this issue.Im not getting any error messages on my return and there are no missing items on it either. Your infovpertains to an online version of the software - I have used a disc based version. Im going to try to e filecfor the next 5 days and if unsuccessful I will resort to the USPS to mail my return.

The problem was caused because NC tax office were not ready to accept e files. I efiled the federal return separately and that worked. This afternoon NC accepted mt state return. Thanks for your help
