Will someone kindly put this question in plain English ?

I can understand the first part = no we are not a nonresident alien

This part is confusing - ... and did not elect to be treated as a resident alien

We were born in the USA and have never lived or worked in another country.

So - would the answer = No ? ... considering both parts of the question ?  TIA, Tom

The answer will be "No" to both questions.

According to your statement, you have always been a United States citizen; therefore, the questions are not applicable to your situation.
