Your Identity Protection Pin (IP PIN) should have been mailed to you from the IRS in December.

You would get one only if you lived in certain states or were a victim of identity theft reported to the IRS and applied for it. Most taxpayers don't have one yet.

If you did not get this letter, then please go look at the IRS page on IP PIN for instructions on how to retrieve it.
