Your question was cut off. If you are asking whether your moving expenses are deductible for tax year 2019, the answer is no.

  • The moving expense deduction has been suspended for tax years 2018 through 2025 as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that was signed into law in late December of 2017. For additional information, click here.

Thank you. No, I am actually asking how I enter the taxes paid on my behalf in the gross up. The gross up lists as 38,000 in income, but it does not appear to reflect that 38,000 was paid in federal or state taxes. Therefore, it looks like we are now having to pay taxes on our income, relo AND the gross up. Should the 38,000 paid on our behalf be listed somewhere?  Are we missing something? How do we enter it in turbo tax?

Box 2 of your W-2 should show the entire amount of federal taxes withheld on your Box 1 income.  If you believe the amount in Box 2 is incorrect, contact your employer's HR or payroll office.
