We just installed TT 2021 and a dialog box told us for TT 2022 needs Big Sur. Would it not be in TT best interest to be as Mac OS backwardly compatible as possible?

Our family has a Mac. We received notification from Intuit that TurboTax 2021 would require Catalina, the first fully 64-bit encrypted Mac OS. We spent a lot of money to update all our software to 64-bit and updated to Catalina. We just installed TurboTax 2021 and a dialog box told us for TurboTax 2022 we need to run Big Sur on our Mac. Our question is why is TurboTax technologically obsolescing our hardware?  Would it not be in TT best interest to be as Mac OS backwardly compatible as possible?

Sorry ... but the Intuit policy is to only support  OS that apple still supports.   You can still use the ONLINE program instead if you wish.
