We have to repay Obamacare premium credits and an underpayment penalty was added to our tax. TurboTax also generated Estimated Tax Vouchers for 2018.

So, are we now required to file these quarterly Estimated Tax Vouchers?

We are now on Medicare and so, will not have the ObamaCare premiums any more.  Our total income will also be taking a dive in 2018.

I'm guessing that the vouchers will not be necessary unless there is some regulatory requirement that we must file them each quarter.

Thanx.

Probably not.  If you anticipate significantly lower income, what you need to be sure of is that you owe less than $1000 by the end of the year to avoid penalties.  You may not need the vouchers in the amount printed, and if you are within the $1000 range by the end of the year (and of course if you anticipate a refund), then no estimated payments will even be necessary.
