You will have to print and mail your tax return since the IRS has accepted a tax return with the child's personal exemption. Do not change anything on your tax return, the IRS will pay any refund shown on the return. The IRS will contact all parties by mail to investigate why the personal exemptions were claimed on separate tax returns. The loser of the investigation gets to repay the tax refund based on the personal exemptions plus penalties and interest.
