We have a 9 year old daughter claimed as a dependent, who got a 1099 misc form from the Alaska PFD. The amount was $1,022.00. Her name is not an option to file. Why?

Only my wife and I who file jointly appear as an option to file 1099misc

You may be entering your daughter's 1099-MISC in the wrong place. But if the Alaska PFD is her only income, you do not have to report it. A dependent is not required to file a tax return if her only income is unearned income of $1,050 or less. Since the 2016 PFD is less than $1,050, if that is your daughter's only income she is not required to file a tax return and her PFD does not have to be reported anywhere.
