We have a 16 year old son who lives with us full time. He has a part time job and got a w-2 showing he made less than $3,000. Do we need to file a tax return? If so, how?

He is allowed to file if he needs to get back income tax withholding. He cannot get back social security or Medicare tax withholding.

We live in PA which requires him to file since he made over $33. But how do I do that? Do I set up a TurboTax account for him? I need all details, please. This is the first year he has had a job.

Yes, you cannot use your online account for him.
