We had a newborn born in January 2020. I know we don't claim him on 2019 taxes, but how do I handle his information for 2019 taxes?

On the 2019 tax return you do not enter him at all on your tax return.

leave him off.  you may not even be able to enter info for him because of the question "how many months did he live with you in 2019" would have to be answered 0
