First, check your personal information to make sure your information appears and that your filing status shows Married Filing Jointly (MFJ).
If you need to change your filing status:
- Click Edit next to filing status.
- Select Married.
- Answer Yes to the question, "Do you want to file this return together with your spouse?"
When you are listed as the spouse, and your filing status is MFJ, you can add a W-2 for yourself by following these steps:
- Click on Federal > Wages & Income
- Under Wages and Salaries, click on the Revisit box.
- You will see the screen, Here's your W-2 info.
- You will see an Add a W-2 link for you and your spouse. Click the box with your name on it.
- Continue through the interview, entering the information on your additional W-2.
